What is XAUUSD?+
XAUUSD is the spot gold price quoted in US dollars per troy ounce — the global reference for gold. On IUX you trade it as a CFD: long or short, without owning or storing physical metal.
What moves the gold price?+
US interest-rate expectations, real yields, the strength of the US dollar, inflation data and safe-haven demand during geopolitical stress. Major releases like US CPI or Fed decisions can move gold sharply within minutes.
What are the trading costs for gold?+
On a Raw Account, spreads start from 0.0 pips (variable) with a fixed $7-per-lot commission; Standard and Pro use spread-only pricing. Spreads are variable and widen in volatile or thin markets.
